In late December, Matthew Shaw flew home and the Byrnes family left for a 3 week holiday in NSW and Victoria. Lisa and Veronica stayed in Brisbane for the first weeks of January and we enjoyed a day out together with Beverley (Lisa's mother) at Lone Pine.
Having bought an annual pass to Lone Pine for us and our 3 youngest grandkids, we took the Byrnes boys there on 26th J.
Our
own pursuits included neighbours here for drinks and snacks, the usual 4 hours a week fitness at UQ and 2 days at Toowong
Bridge Club. We also sold our Cub Camper Trailer, bought secondhand in
2008 for $10,000 and much used, including a 4 month trip around
Australia. We were pleased to sell it for $6000 - cheap travel for 5
years. Then we ordered our 3rd Cub, a new one this time, costing
$21,500.
